Some week just gone by, cant remember seein weather like that in years, friday today and college had to be cancelled over the bad flooding all over the city. Went in town this morning (well whats not underwater of it) and the pace the river was flowing was insane. Happy i live in an area that wasnt affected too bad by the flooding, since so many peoples houses and businesses were ruined by the raging water. The worst thing is if global warming isnt tackled this will just become a normal occurence and slowly get worse over time.

Google adsense cancelled ouor accounts this week too, was waste of time for us even to bother starting with
them . Was hoping for some extra money for christmas but wont be gettin a penny off them greedy c***s. Typical international company having no time for the little man, they let you work away for them for awhile then when they decide you cant do enough they jus get rid of you.

Watched the ireland match wednesday too,....was having a greatt time till that cheating basterd ruined things for us, the pub gave every one there a free drink to try condole us but was no use the atmosphere in the pub was more like that of a funeral than that of a football match. Would love if FIFA gave us the replay we DESERVE, but theres not much chance of that happening. Football is more of a politics than a sport at this stage. Gotta give respest to our lads who played france off the pitch though, if they played like that every game we'd be up there wit the best international sides in the world, no doubt about it.

Any im off to throw a few cv's around to try getta bit of work for christmas.

Peace : )

November!!

Good week gone past, did well in all exams and started to finally earn some decent money in google adsense, eventhough my account is now on hold till i get some post of them and my tax details are verified, but i can wait since i am getting money for doing nothing really. Especially since blog blaster is pinging me and garys blogs throughout the internet getting us sum more revenue.

Got to go over to the learning support centre today too since i got to get some help with Computer Architecture before i fall behind, but it seems to be a good programme they run over there so i should be back on top of it in no time. Class party this week to so i got to ring |Clifford and sort ouyt where we're going and some free booze for the class.

Novemeber is flying by again, fed up of looking at them ad's on television about christmas, its still weeks away but im still being asked to buy some crap i dont even need nearly every ad. Just about ready to throw the televison out the window rather than face a growing force of ad's on televison before christmas. I can't stand commercialism andwhat it stands for, simple minded people being confused into buying crap they will never need. But then again it is my favorite time of the year : )

Only few weeks till santa comes and eventhough the ad's on tv will annoy me i'll keep smiling waiting for chirstmas.

Think i'll head over to the technician in the computer department after class now to get a free copy of windows 7, the copy i have of it isnt great since it is bugged and without service packs, but thanks to this wonderful college i can get a FREE ligit copy, which is pretty nice of them.

Just a reminder too, the blog post before this one is very important to me and i would appreciate anyone taking the time to read this to take a quick look at it.

Bye Bye

Greenpeace

Something that will eventual effect us all......

This weeks entry is more serious than previous but i feel strongly about the issues and in just a few minutes you too can do your part. And its all done online and since most of us spend a good part of our day on the internet it might spark some interest.

All issues deal with climate change and WILL effect everyone, no matter what, at the stage we've let it get too is already a joke and if more people just take 5 minutes to act eventually the problem will be dealy with properly and efficiently.

First link here deals with deforestation of the amazon rainforest, which of course will lead to the acceleration of global warming.

"In early June, the Brazilian Congress amended and approved a bill, originally introduced to grant land title rights to 300,000 properties that have been established illegally across approximately 67 million hectares of public land in the Amazon. The rules set by the Provisional Measure (MP) number 458, will add pressure to the Amazon and make it even more vulnerable to deforestation. The bill, which awaits President Lula's signature, may be perceived as an open invitation for the invasion of public lands in the region.
Read more about it and take action.

Secondly, this is for all those hoping to career in IT, software etc etc, the following parahraph explains how the IT companys could be more greener therefore creating more jobs and a healthier planet, WIN WIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Google, Microsoft and IBM are amongst the largest and most influential of US companies in terms of market share, numbers of employees and contribution to GDP.
We expect them to be leading the field in this area, and yet they have not spoken out against the Chamber of Commerce's position. They are all members, and IBM are actually on their Board of Directors. we need them to take a public stance against the position of the chamber, as many other companies have already done, including Apple.
Additionally, none of the companies are lobbying for strong enough action on climate change. The closest any of them have come so far is Google, who have produced a 2030 plan, which is a start, but it is not clear to us how they are pushing this plan, and the climate needs more urgent action. None of these companies have said that mandatory cuts of the levels that the science says we need are necessary, acheivable and good for business.
When companies of this size say something, you can be sure that politicians will listen, so the question is why are they so silent on this issue, when it is clear that they have a business interest in addressing CO2 emissions? We think the companies with the most potential for a positive influence should also be heard, in public and as loudly and frequently as possible.
heres the link for anyone looking for more info or to sign the petition in a few seconds. After you've signed the petition, try writing directly to Google, IBM and Microsoft in particular.

Anyway, the days of running around causing anarchy to get things changed are still here but just to not get arrested its probaly better to just do online activism and since it takes minutes its not even a hassle!

Apologies for the really serious entry on a dreaded monday morning but had to put something up about this eventually, got it annoys me that people wont take a few minutes to sign a petition for there own benefit

....................................................but anyway till next week bye bye

Jazz Weekend 09

Enjoyed that long weekend just gone, was good to get a break from college for a couple of days and just have fun without worrying about college the next morning. Although i did have to study for our maths exam tomorow but that was alright.

Saw some great groups in town over the weekend, especially sunday night when i was meant to go see the stone roses experience who are unbelievable, but due to tikcets been sold out i strolled to find somewhere that wasn't packed. Ended up in the quad which was packed but getting a pint was still managable so twas fine, the warm up act was brilliant and then the main group was fantastic. Fairly hardcore moshing for about 2 hours always spells a good night.

I came across this video the other day and being a bmx enthusiast its amazing to me the amount of talent this guy has, definately worth a look.

Its sum guy doing flatland bmx, best ive ever seen...

For people who don't know what flatland bmx is the pics below are of it

Paul Mac Cartney tickets go on sale too wednesday, 87euro a ticket is really steep but it'd probably be worth it to see him. Camping out over night for tickets is always good craic too.

Back to studying for me maths exam anyway

My Weekend/Monday

Another week begins, feeling a bit tired since the weekend but got to get back into it i suppose. Got up to alot over the weekend. Went to a 80's fancy dress party friday night then played a guitar session afterwards, good craic. Watched the Ireland match saturday night, was very disappointed by it, the whole bar was in sync when we scored and again when we conceded. Sunday night then went to some reggae in The Slate in town, great music there too, got home a bit late leading to my tiredness this morning.

In todays class we started on our characters for our boardgame, we all took two characters, two weapons and two rooms each to make things a bit fair.

Got to sort out my ian brown tickets now so till next time......
